Brewster's Sacrimal

Few people realise just how many unnecessary and redundant parts of the human body remain in modern man.

Here, from a box of medical instruction slides, is an image of Brewster's Sacrimal, which is located behind the left knee. For centuries, it's purpose was unknown, and removal seemed to have no adverse effect.

Modern theory, expounded by Dr Edmondson and Dr Mayal, believes that is is an auxiliary and back-up vision processing system.

Fascinating.

Bonus - Canada and Denmark end decades-long dispute over barren rock in Arctic. And both change from countries with one land border, to ...two land borders.
